Adam Taylor - Team Manager
• Adam has a passion for helping others and the game of baseball. Adam, grew up in San Diego splitting years of time between the Lemon Grove and Ramona areas. Lemon Grove was his starting point and he moved to Ramona when he was around 8 years old where he lived until age 17. he then moved back to Lemon Grove and finished his high school education and baseball seasons at The Rock Academy. His family has helped him in all aspects of his life. His passion for baseball soaked up all of his youth.
•After high school, he went on to study Business Administration and play baseball at Concordia University, a small NCAA Div. II school in Portland, Oregon. Adam was able to choose a school where he could get substantial playing time all 4 years and develop further as a man and a baseball player. Many of these experiences helped Adam gain further and more advanced insight on the game of baseball and more simple ways to think about playing the game. While everyone s skill set is uniquely different, Adam is thankful to have had strong connections to multiple players and coaches at the Division I and Professional levels who have contributed to the knowledge and experience in the game of baseball that he currently wishes to utilize at HBA.
Tim Tisch - Pitching Instructor
• Tim Tisch is the premier pitching coach in San Diego County, with a career that has spanned nearly two decades. He was drafted out of Mesa College by the Chicago White Sox organization, where he threw a no hitter against the St Louis Cardinals organization. Due to his impressive performances on the mound and the guidance of some of the league's best pitching instructors, Tim became a top MLB prospect. His professional career next brought him to the St Paul Saints where he won the Northern League Championship with a personal record of 10-2.
• After his professional career ended, Tim's passion for coaching began. He has worked with some of the elite travel ball organizations, including the San Diego Saints and Del Mar Powerhouse. Tim spent three years as the Varsity Pitching Coach at The Bishop's School in La Jolla. In his first season, he helped lead the Knights to the CIF Championship Game.
• With Tim's experience he is able to coach at all levels, including development of youth players, preparing high schoolers for college baseball and working with professionals in the off season.
David McClurg - Basketball Team Coach
• Currently sits on York Central’s Basketball Hall of Fame for his achievements as a player and coach.
• Coached all Levels of Basketball and In his over 35 years of coaching and teaching, to include 30 years at the R. Roger Rowe School in Rancho Santa Fe.
• Created a family within the institution have moved on in school, life, and business, a trend seems to show itself over and over again at Rancho Santa Fe.
• NBA Hall of Famer, Bill Walton congratulated Coach McClurg for his induction into the the York Hall of Fame. He quoted, “Coach David, embody and epitomize all of the positive values, human characteristics, and personal attributes that are the foundational pillars of a young dreamer trying to build a life.” Coach McClurg has selflessly given up his life at incredibly great cost to both him and his entire family. He has enabled and empowered countless young people to realize what the game of life is truly all about, and how much bigger and more important it is than just another basketball game. He thank David for his honor, his discipline, his passion, his skill, and his ability to teach, nurture, and develop.
Keegan Acker - Team Manager
• Currently the hitting coach at Cal State University San Marcos.
• Coached at Point Loma High School where he was the hitting and infield coach leading the Pointers to finish as Eastern League Champions.
• Graduate Assistant baseball coach at The University of San Diego. Had the privilege of acting as hitting assistant for Merv Rettenmund, an 18 year MLB hitting coach for the Atlanta Braves, Oakland Athletics and San Diego Padres.
• Graduated from Gonzaga University where he started as second baseman for the Gonzaga Bulldogs. The Bulldogs 2011 team ranked No. 24 in Baseball America's Top 25 and finished runner up in the WCC conference. Acker led the conference in base on balls.
• Keegan resides in San Diego and has a Masters in Coaching and Leadership from the University of Concordia in Irvine, CA. Besides his love of the game, Keegan also loves his fiancé, Annie, and his parents and brother from Redmond, WA.

• Current Assistant Varsity Baseball Coach at Eastlake High School the past 20 years.
• One of the original coaches at the San Diego Show Baseball Academy where he spent 15 years as a head coach for multiple show teams.

Joe Manley - Instructor
Kearny High School: 3 time all Eastern League. Finished as all time hit leader. Junior and Senior year finished in top 10 in batting in the county.
College: 2 season at Mesa College.
College: 2 season baseball scholarship to Culver-Stockton college. Senior season finished 2nd team all HACC. Both years team finished in the top 10 in the Nation.
One year college assistant coach and 3rd base coach, to a 60 win team and 7th place finish in the nation.
